Iranian researchers design interactive smart whiteboard

Iranian researchers have built a whiteboard smartening kit for the first time in the country, boosting interactions in class environment and increases training efficiency.

Whiteboard smartening kit is installed by data projector fixed or mobile mode and changes the data projector monitor to a touch one.

The monitor could be a data projector screen, wall or a usual whiteboard which is changed to a touch screen by a smartening kit and makes it possible for the user to control the computer.

The kit helps the teacher to use technical software in courses like geometry during the teaching and training process which facilitates the learning process.

The data projector screen can also be used a traditional blackboard, that is writing on the screen by light pen like writing on the blackboard by chalk.

The interactive whiteboards have already been designed, but they were used less because of high prices and limitations in using computer and data projector.

The test model of the Iranian whiteboard has been used in a classroom nearly two years ago for detecting and removing possible shortcomings and it would be mass produced soon. All parts and pieces of equipment of the whiteboard are built locally.
