Pres. Rouhani: Imam Hussein not only symbol of resistance, bravery, devotion, but also Imam of peace, self-sacrifice

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also went on to say: “Ashura is the manifestation of the fight of right and wrong”.

Stressing that all the aspects of Ashura and Karbala event must be explained to people, Dr Rouhani added: “Imam Hussein (AS) is not only symbol of resistance, bravery and devotion, but also the Imam of peace and self-sacrifice”.

“Ashura is not just for Shiites, the culture of Ashura is not just for Muslims around the world, but rather, it is for all free people around the world,” the president added.
