Iranian VP: Expansion of Iran-Sudan ties to benefit entire region

Iran’s Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou in a meeting with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir Saturday evening in Khartoum said expansion of mutual ties would benefit all regional countries.

Referring to Tehran-Khartoum relations as amicable and consolidated, Saeedlou underlined the need to boost all-out ties between the two nations.

He also voiced the Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to transfer its valuable technical, engineering and scientific experiences to Sudan.

Sudanese president, for his part, described Iran as a strong and powerful country in the region, adding that expansion of mutual ties plays a pivotal role in fostering unity and security in the region.

On Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, he said the Iranian government has the right to pursue peaceful nuclear energy for prosperity of its nations.
