Iran’s role in regional stability, peerless- Indonesian FM

Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said the Islamic Republic of Iran plays a key and peerless role in creating stability in the Middle East region.

On the sidelines of the meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali-Akbar Salehi in New York, Natalegawa pointed to the important position Iran holds in both global and regional arenas.

Answering a question by the IRNA correspondent, the Indonesian foreign minister said Tehran and Jakarta enjoy positive relations in different fields.

About his talks with Iran’s Salehi, Natalegawa said they focused on the issues of mutual interest and also explored ways to boost bilateral cooperation.
