Gaza Hospitals Report 40 Casualties as Death Toll Reaches Over 54,600

In the last 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip have received the bodies of 38 civilians who lost their lives in recent Israeli strikes. Additionally, the remains of two individuals previously reported missing in earlier attacks have also been recovered.

The health ministry in Gaza reported on Wednesday that 208 individuals sustained injuries amid recent Israeli attacks.

According to reports, the Israeli army’s resumption of military actions in Gaza on March 18, 2025, has resulted in 4,335 fatalities and left 13,341 injured.

The health ministry reported that the recent increase in fatalities has brought the death toll from the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, to 54,607.

The ministry reported an increase in the total number of injured individuals, bringing the tally to 125,341.

Efforts are currently in motion to retrieve the bodies of additional individuals deemed martyrs, who remain unaccounted for in various locations across the Gaza Strip.
