Iran’s gender equality in education, work

Western media have a tendency to describe Iranian women as a population stripped of their basic human rights, and often accuse Iran of human rights violations because of the implementation of Islamic law in the country.

Nevertheless, millions of Iranian women go to university and work alongside men. Thousands of women are occupying managerial positions in government-run and private-sector companies, with thousands of men working under their supervision.
