Iran’s IKCO Production Up by 72%

IKCO production statistics indicates 72% growth in the past eleven months, which is 233,847 sets more than the sum of cars manufactured in the same period last year, the public relations department of the Iranian automaker said.

The fulfillment of the company’s new plans has resulted in this production boost that stands for 557,956 sets of sedans and pickups in this period, it added. Production reached 324,109 sets in the last year’s eleven months.

According to the IKCO public relations, the automaker rolled out 138,201 sets of Peugeot Pars as its most manufactured sedan in this period and a total number of 61,369 sets of other sedans and pickups in the past month.

“We have run a new system to supervise part makers’ performance, which is expected to boost the quality of the parts,” Maleki Tehrani said and added, “Globalization demands high quality and we have a long way to go in this respect.”
