‘Iran’s military might deters attacks’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the country’s military might aims to prevent aggression and injustice, stressing Iran’s defense policies are deterrent.

“Iran does not seek to use its military might to conquer lands and overcome humanity,” IRNA quoted President Ahmadinejad as saying on Tuesday.

He added that the best deterrent must bar the enemy from daring launch an aggression and emphasized the enemy should be confident that it will receive a “crushing and regrettable” response in case of an attack.
