Palestinian Gov. calls on Egypt to release 400 Syria- Palestinian refugees

The Palestinian government in Gaza called on the Egyptian Authorities to release the 400 Syria- Palestinian refugees detained in Alexandria while trying to migrate to Europe.

It demanded on its weekly session on Tuesday, the UNRWA to hold its legal responsibilities towards those refugees.

In another context, the government denounced the Israeli foreign minister’s statements to reoccupy the Gaza Strip. It added that Liberman’s statements are considered as a threat to launch a war and he must be punished according to the international law.

The government condemned the Israeli occupation announcement of building 829 new housing units in Jerusalem and the West Bank and accused Israel of disdaining the international community.

the Palestinian Government called on Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to stop peace talks with Israel, as it provides cover for the “Judaization” of the Islamic holy sites and settlements process.

It expressed its grave concern regarding the closure of Rafah boarder , which tightened the imposed siege on Gaza , calling the Egyptian Authorities to reopen it in both directions.

It also condemned Prawer plan, which aims to destroy 35 Bedouin villages in the Naqab (Negev) region and displace Bedouin from their homeland. It calls for actions protesting the plan.

Palestinian government warmly welcomed the23th Miles of Smiles convoy which arrived to Gaza last week. It praised the convoy’s solidarity stance with Palestinian people.

It calls on the Egyptian authorities to allow the access of solidarity convoy to reach Gaza.
