Iraqi Army launches important operation near Syrian border

The Iraqi Army, alongside their popular committees, launched an important operation in the southwestern countryside of the Al-Anbar Governorate, today, targeting the desert terrain west of the key town of Haditha.

According to Iraqi activists, the army and popular committees killed more than 20 Islamic State (ISIL) terrorists today, while also destroying three car bombs that belonged to the terrorist group.

The Iraqi Army and their popular committees will continue to apply pressure on the Islamic State’s defenses in this rural region some 100 km away from the Syrian border-crossing at the town of Al-Qa’im.
