Iraqi forces liberate Mosul Train Station

The Iraqi Army and Federal Police continued their wide-scale offensive in the western sector of Mosul, targeting the remaining districts under the Islamic State’s (ISIS) control.

On Tuesday, the Iraqi Armed Forces broke-through the Islamic State’s defenses once again, liberating the Mosul Train Station after a short battle this afternoon.

With the Mosul Train Station and New Mosul District under their control, the Iraqi Armed Forces are now in control of an estimated 40 percent of the provincial capital’s western sector.

The Iraqi Armed Forces launched their western Mosul operations earlier this month after a short hiatus in the month of February.
