The Iraqi security and tribal forces have started manufacturing tens of Short-range missiles for their war on ISIL terrorists in Western Iraq.

The Iraqi forces built 120 Zolfaqar missiles with a range of two kilometers to pound ISIL positions in Anbar province. This is the first missile production program after the overthrow of executed dictator Saddam Hussein in 2003.

“These missiles are two meters long with a twokm range and they will be used for the first time in Khalediya region of Anbar province,” Arabic-language news websites quoted Iraqi Police Officer Ahmad Khalaf as saying on Sunday.

On October 1, the Iraqi army and volunteer forces intensified their military operations in the Western al-Anbar province on Wednesday.

The Iraqi forces launched massive offensives on ISIL terrorists in Anbar from the North, South and the West.

In the North, the Iraqi forces advanced towards al-Bu Faraj in the Northern parts of the city of Ramadi.

The Iraqi army and popular forces killed 35 ISIL terrorists in the surrounding areas of al-Bu Faraj and destroyed 10 military vehicles.

In the West, the Iraqi forces backed by the Iraqi air force advanced towards the Western parts of Ramadi from al-Borisheh and Zankoureh towards the Iraqi army’s 8th Brigade base.

In the South, the Iraqi army and popular forces moved towards al-Tamim region after reinforcing their positions near Al-Anbar University in the Southern parts of Ramadi.
