Qassam Brigades persist in their engagement with Israeli Forces in the northern region of Gaza

The al-Qassam Brigades, alongside various Palestinian resistance factions, persist in their assault on Israeli forces in northern Gaza. Intense clashes are underway, resulting in casualties among the Israeli military.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military faction of Hamas, reported on Thursday its attack on an Israeli Merkava tank using a Tandem charge. The incident occurred near the al-Saftawi region, located west of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

The al-Quds Brigades, acting as the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, have announced a coordinated operation alongside the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. This joint effort reportedly involved launching mortar shells targeting Israeli occupation forces and the strategic Abu Arayban location within the Netzarim axis.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Gaza has reported ongoing intense clashes between resistance forces and the occupying forces in the northern region of Gaza.

The Israeli military has confirmed the death of a Givati Brigade soldier during a conflict in the northern Gaza Strip.

Two additional zionist regime soldiers sustained injuries during the combat.

In a related development, Israeli authorities acknowledged on Monday a shortage in the number of military personnel necessary to maintain control over the Gaza Strip. This disclosure was reported by Israeli journalist Bini Aschkenasy on the media platform, Walla.

Last week, Israeli military authorities provided their response to the Supreme Court concerning the facilitation of humanitarian aid into Gaza, as outlined in a recent report. The response also underscored the difficulties posed by a limited number of troops in maintaining control over the region.

According to a report, the Israeli Attorney General’s office, representing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), indicated that the present scale of military forces and the nature of their operations hinder effective control over the Gaza Strip.

The office highlighted that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have not yet established effective control over Gaza, and that Hamas’ capacity to exercise governmental authority remains largely intact.
