Iraqi resistance forces initiate sophisticated cruise missile strike on contested regions

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has launched a fresh offensive against positions in the Israeli-occupied territories, employing a newly developed advanced cruise missile. This action marks the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

On Tuesday, the coalition of anti-terror fighters announced via its Telegram channel that it had effectively targeted five locations in central and northern areas of the occupied territories in Israel. The operation, conducted in the early hours, utilized “al-Arqab” advanced cruise missiles and drones, according to the statement.

The statement declared that the operations aimed to support the populations of Palestine and Lebanon, asserting they were carried out as a response to the “massacres executed by the occupying entity against civilians, encompassing children, women, and the elderly.”

The organization announced plans to intensify its assaults on Israeli positions.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the al-Aqsa flood operation, the Iraqi resistance group declared on Monday that it had executed a drone strike targeting a military installation in the occupied territories.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has initiated a series of assaults on Israeli targets following the onset of the conflict in Gaza, which began in early October 2023. These actions come in response to what has been described as a genocidal campaign by the occupying regime.

Multiple assaults have been launched against the US-operated al-Asad Airbase in western Iraq, in addition to military installations and strategic sites linked to the Israeli authorities. These include the Eilat port, the city of Haifa, and the Golan Heights, which is currently under Israeli control in Syria. The attacks are reportedly intended to express solidarity with the Palestinian population.

In a significant escalation, Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched a series of rocket attacks on multiple targets within northern Israeli-occupied territories on Tuesday. This action was described as a response to what Hezbollah terms a prolonged genocidal campaign by Israel in the Gaza Strip, and as retribution for the deaths of Lebanese citizens since the conflict began.

Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it launched a series of rocket attacks targeting Israeli military positions. The strikes reportedly hit locations in Shlomi, a town within the northern Israeli-occupied territories, Hanita kibbutz in the western Galilee, and the Marj area in Wadi Hunin. These incidents occurred during the early hours of the day.

Hezbollah announced that its rocket assault targeted two Israeli military artillery positions located in the towns of Dishon and Dalton in the northern territories under Israeli occupation. The attacks reportedly occurred at 5 a.m. local time.

Over the past year, more than 2,000 Lebanese individuals have lost their lives as a result of Israeli military actions. These operations were initiated following a series of attacks by Hezbollah against Israel, which the group carried out in support of the Palestinian cause.
