Iraqi Shia, Sunni scholars visit Iran’s Islamic unity center

Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Mousa Mousavi, deputy of the world forum, in this meeting, called Iran as the hometown for all Iraqi Sunni brothers and praised the efforts of the nation to boost unity among Muslims in an attempt to save Iraq from enemies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Iranian cleric in this meeting referred to the present situation in the world of Islam and increasing intrigues to hinder the path of Islamic Awakening and noted,” Amid the present situation, a meeting of Shia and Sunni figures- particularly the influential luminaries- is the best move.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mousavi highlighted the importance of Islamic unity during both life of late Imam Khomeini (RA) and at present, the leadership of Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and said while Sunni dominated border Provinces of Kurdistan and Sistan and Baluchistan have been the most deprived areas during the past regime of Pahlavi, they have both made great improvements during the post-revolution era in Iran.

Hassan Tabaraee’ian, special deputy of the secretary general, in this meeting congratulated the visiting Iraqi group on the recent victories of the nation against Takfiri (excommunication) groups in Anbar and Salahudding Provinces and highlighted the role of the world forum in boosting unity among all Muslims.

Manouchehr Mottaki, international deputy of the world forum in this meeting called Islamic proximity as the only healing for the present trouble which has plagued Muslim world and said,” Disintegration of Islamic countries is an objective of the arrogant powers which we have always rejected.”

He referred to the old plan of the enemies to disintegrate Iraq and turn Anbar as the hub of dispersion praising the people for maintaining their unity and foiling the hostile plots and changing the major province to the hub of unity and Islamic proximity.

International deputy of the world forum slammed the treacherous plot of enemies for the Middle East, planned and backed by the US, Zionist regime and funded by petrodollars and said,” Enemies’ first objective was dividing different Iraqi ethnics before the total disintegration of the country though the nation suffered a lot but did not let the enemies to achieve their objective.”

Sheikh Mohammad al Takriti, Sheikh Yousef al Takriti, Sheikh Zafir al Farraji, Sheikh Raj el Din, Sheikh Mos’ab al Jabouri and other Sunni luminaries from universities and scientific research centers detailed their views on unity and proximity among all Muslims and stressed commonalities of Shia and Sunni nationals in Iraq.

Visiting scholars in this meeting referred to the shared God (Allah), same holy book and a single prophet as the assets of all Muslims expressing their loyalty and affection for Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) saying,” We are all in pursuit of a common goal and that is confrontation with dispersion and also intrigues hatched by the US, Zionist regime of Israel and Saudi Wahhabi.”

Iraqi cleric counted the issues of the Sunni community in Salahuddin and Anbar Provinces and anti-Daesh confrontations which have led to killing of several Sunni Muslims in Iraq.

They also stressed supports of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Iraq when the neighboring war-torn country was deserted by all other governments.
