IRGC Navy vows to crush aggressors

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Force has vowed to immediately repel any infringement on the country’s territorial waters by the enemy.

“With the organization work and the deployment of troops, [Iran’s] Persian Gulf islands have been turned into strong forts against enemy incursion and we have the ability to repel intruders in the shortest time [possible] ,” IRNA quoted Brigadier General Reza Torabi as saying.

The commander of the IRGC’s First Naval Zone said military boats are constantly patrolling the region and that no deployment or move in the strategic waters can remain hidden from our vessels.

“We monitor all movements in the Strait of Hormuz,” he stated, adding that IRGC naval forces have been mandated to secure Iran’s waters in the Persian Gulf as well as the Oman Sea.

“The IRGC Navy is in charge of patrolling, [Persian Gulf] island’s defense and its mandated area extends from the Strait of Hormuz to west of Kish Island,” added the general.
