Ahmadinejad calls Omani King, Turkish counterpart

IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in separate telephone calls Thursday discussed major regional and international issues with King of Oman as well as his Turkish counterpart.

President Ahmadinejad underlined an expansion of friendly and brotherly cooperation among the regional countries and the world of Islam, as a whole.

The President said peace and stability will be consolidated across the region through a continued exchange of views between the regional countries.

King of Oman, Sultan Qabous bin Saeed, and President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul reaffirmed their principle stance of more ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran
