IRGC Smashes Backup Team of Terrorists at Iran’s Border

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) killed all the members of a terrorist team that had crossed Iran’s northwestern border to help and evacuate their comrades who had been injured in a gunfight with the IRGC forces a day before.

The IRGC’s Hamze Sayyid al-Shohada Base said in a statement that its forces smashed a team of terrorists at Iran’s northwestern border on Tuesday night.

The intruding terrorists entered Iran from Turkey to help their comrades who had been injured in a clash with the IRGC forces on Tuesday morning.

In the Tuesday’s clash at Chaldoran region in the border province of West Azarbaijan, the IRGC troops had killed two terrorists and injured a number of others. Two local forces of the IRGC were also martyred in the operation.

After the morning clash, the IRGC forces launched a manhunt to capture the fugitive terrorists.

The backup team of terrorists had crossed the border to evacuate the victims of the previous clash, but all of them were killed by the IRGC forces in the Maku region.

The IRGC is tasked with protecting the country’s northwestern and southeastern borders.
