IRGC stated that the Syrian Army and resistance forces make Israel and its allies regret their recent actions

A spokesperson for Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has condemned the recent escalation of terrorist activities in northern Syria. The spokesperson asserted that the Syrian government forces, along with fighters from the Axis of Resistance, are determined to respond to these acts, ensuring that the Zionist regime and its allies will come to regret their involvement in these latest incidents of violence.

In a recent interview with Defa Press news agency, Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, spokesperson and deputy head of the Public Relations Department for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that individuals engaged in militancy in Syria are not opposition fighters. Instead, he described them as mercenaries aligned with Israel and the United States, as well as reorganized elements of Daesh and other Takfiri groups.

He stated that the primary objective of the foreign-supported militant groups is to challenge the Axis of Resistance by establishing a new front and undermining one of its key elements, namely Syria.

According to recent statements, the Israeli government is perceived to be attempting to address its past setbacks against Lebanese Hezbollah and resistance factions in Gaza by involving the Resistance Front in the Syrian conflict.

Naeini announced that the resilient Syrian Army, alongside the formidable Resistance Front, is preparing a significant response to what he described as the latest provocative actions by Zionist forces and their collaborators.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that joint airstrikes conducted by Syrian and Russian fighter jets resulted in the elimination and injury of numerous foreign-backed militants on the outskirts of al-Safira city, located in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The militants, affiliated with the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group, sustained significant casualties in the operation.

The declaration was issued amidst ongoing military operations by Syrian forces aimed at countering assaults from terrorist factions across the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, and Hama.

The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria has reported that airstrikes conducted in northern and west-central Syria have resulted in the deaths of 320 militants associated with various terrorist organizations over the past 24-hour period.

Syria’s state-run news agency, SANA, reported, referencing a military source, that coordinated airstrikes conducted by Syrian and Russian forces had successfully targeted significant terrorist strongholds.

According to field reports, the Syrian army has made substantial advances, successfully recapturing almost all villages in the Hama countryside from opposing forces.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television has reported that Syrian and Russian air forces have launched joint aerial strikes targeting militant supply lines in western Aleppo. Intense bombardment is also reported on terrorist positions in the Idlib region.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has reiterated Syria’s unwavering dedication to eliminating terrorism, stressing that both the Damascus administration and the Syrian armed forces, along with the nation’s populace, remain resolute in decisively combating terrorist organizations.

President Bashar al-Assad underscored the significant importance of allies and friendly nations in combating foreign-supported terrorist groups and foiling their schemes, emphasizing the Syrian government’s steadfast commitment to upholding the nation’s territorial integrity and national security.

On Sunday, United Nations Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, issued an urgent call for all parties involved in the Syrian conflict to pursue a swift political solution.

He stated that the recent developments represent significant threats to civilian populations and carry grave consequences for both regional stability and international peace and security.

Since March 2011, Syria has been embroiled in a conflict marked by foreign-backed militancy. The Syrian government has accused Western nations and their regional partners of supporting terrorist organizations in order to destabilize the nation.

Militant groups are attempting to obstruct the Syrian government’s initiatives to establish security and stability within the nation, a situation further complicated by consistent acts of aggression from the Israeli regime.

Since the onset of foreign-backed insurgency in Syria in March 2011, Israel has been identified as a primary supporter of militant groups opposed to the democratically-elected regime of President Bashar al-Assad.
