Al-Nusra Terrorists Retreat after Another Defeat in Dara’a City, Suffers Heavy Casualties

The Al-Nusra terrorists stormed government forces’ positions in al-Manshiyeh from multiple fronts and directions, including the al-Mesri square, several Western neighborhoods of the city, the West side of Old Customs and Tal (hill), but the army soldiers engaged in very heavy fighting with them and fended off their attack.

A source in Dara’a al-Balad district said that the army men targeted and destroyed several artillery cannons, two machinegun-equipped and two other military vehicles of Al-Nusra in the clashes.

The source further added that tens of terrorists, including a bomb expert and a commander of Al-Nusra’s suicide attackers, were killed in the failed attack.

In relevant developments in the Southern province on Saturday, the army men warded off another massive attack of Al-Nusra Front on their positions in al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Dara’a al-Balad district, destroying several bomb-laden vehicles of the militants and killing a number of them, including Commander of Aknaf al-Omari Battalion Mohammad Ahmad Asfour.
