ISIS devastated as the Syrian Army fires hundreds of missiles on eastern Aleppo

220 artillery shells and 115 airstrikes landed on ISIS-held areas of eastern Aleppo on Monday in support of an ongoing Syrian Arab Army (SAA) offensive in the region.

According to a bulletin released by Amaq Agency, the majority of the SAA strikes targeted the villages of Tanouza, Jubb Al-Madi, Abou Hanaya, Al-Tabara and Al-Ma`moura.

The aforementioned villages are expected to be stormed by the SAA’s Tiger Forces shortly.

Meanwhile, ISIS relies primarily on suicide bombers and anti-tank crews to slow down government advances that ultimately look to encircle Deir Hafer and Jirah Air Base.
Should the SAA take control of Deir Hafer and Jirah Air Base, government forces are likely to restart their offensive towards Raqqa city, the Islamic State capital.

Amaq Agency, the official ISIS outlet, also published airstrike statistics yesterday revealing the ferocity of Russian and Syrian sorties in eastern Aleppo.
