ISIS drives back Kurdish forces near key oilfield in Deir Ezzor

A strike force of ISIS terrorists launched an extensive operation on the village of Hawi Abu Hamam south of the Omari Oil Fields.

14 fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed in the surprise assault south of the strategic oil well. The terrorist group also managed to capture 3 points overlooking the area.

Now that ISIS holds virtually no territory on the western bank of the Euphrates, most of its front lines in the Syrian country are now confined to the SDF which should now expect an increase in militant activities.
