Mission of Muslim elites to warn against Takfiri movements

Mansour Haghighatpour, Deputy Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee at Iran’s Parliament, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) said the measures taken by extremist Takfiri groups in the world of Islam are completely in line with the intentions of the west and Zionists and underscored the mission of Muslim intellectuals to prevent the people from following them.

He slammed to the support of some regional countries including Syria, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for Takfiri groups and said,” Turkey has supported these groups to some extent while Saudi Arabia has had long cooperation with them and the same issue has undermined its reputation in the region.”

He added,” This issue has harassed Saudi Arabia in other countries including Lebanon, Syria and Iraq which is going to damage the Arab kingdom to a great extent.”

Iranian MP also warned that Takfiri and other extremist groups will soon trouble their creator countries like Saudi Arabia and their western supporters.
