“The differences between Islamic denominations should not be highlighted and Muslims should not excommunicate each other for having different ideas and credos,” said Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Taskhiri in a visit with Sri Lankan Minister of Justice, Raouf Hakim and Minister of Religious Affairs, Dr. A. H. M. Fauzi underlined the importance of unity and cooperation among Islamic countries.

The grand Ayatollah underscored that the proximity organization is ready to take part in cultural meetings and conferences.

” We are ready to transfer our experiences in the realm of proximity and Hajj,” Ayatollah Taskhiri said.

The Grand Ayatollah hoped the unity and proximity will be extended in this country and hoped for the promotion of bilateral ties.
