Israel intensifies operations in the West Bank as an official claims the administration aims to finalize a genocidal campaign in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces have escalated their operations in multiple towns and refugee camps throughout the occupied West Bank, resulting in the detention of numerous Palestinians.

According to reports, Israeli operations were conducted on Monday across several locations, including the cities of Nablus and Tulkarm. The military actions also extended to the towns of Yatma, Beit Ummar, Kafil Haris, Qabatiya, and Ni’lin, as well as the villages of Marka and Wadi al-Far’a.

Additional operations were conducted at the Fawwar, Jalazone, and Tulkarm refugee camps, situated in the southern, central, and northern regions of the West Bank, respectively.

According to local reports, occupation forces have detained a young Palestinian man, identified as Saleh Snober, following a raid on his residence in Yatma.

Red Cross Reports Palestinians Face Challenges in Accessing Essential Resources in the West Bank

On Monday, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) issued a statement expressing grave concern regarding the consequences of Israeli raids on the civilian populace of the West Bank. The organization highlighted that numerous residents have been forced to abandon their homes, seeking refuge in increasingly congested mosques and educational institutions.

The statement highlighted the plight of residents, noting that the destruction of numerous homes has left individuals battling to secure essential resources, including clean water, food, medical care, and shelter.

Israeli Actions in Gaza Similar to Genocidal Campaign, Claims West Bank Official

In a statement, Palestinian Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh accused Israeli forces of conducting operations in West Bank cities aimed at systematically dismantling infrastructure and arresting residents. He claimed these actions are part of a broader effort to seize additional territory and further isolate Palestinian communities.

He further cautioned that the authorities of the regime are advancing their efforts, initiating in the Gaza Strip, to carry out acts of genocide in the West Bank.

On January 21, the Israeli Defense Forces initiated a military operation in the occupied West Bank, stating their aim was to target the resistance fighters affiliated with the Jenin Battalion.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has intensified its military operations in the West Bank following the initiation of its offensive in the Gaza Strip. During this period, Israeli forces have been reported to have killed at least 923 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
