Israeli military no longer superior

Hezbollah says the Israeli military has lost its upper hand in the region, adding that Tel Aviv and Washington have been acting up recently concerned by the failure.

Chairman of the Executive Board in the Lebanese resistance movement Sayyed Hashem Safiedinne on Saturday said the downgraded position was the new reality on the ground, reported Ali Rizk, Press TV’s correspondent in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Safiedinne said that Israel has been accusing Hezbollah of receiving Russian-made Scud missiles from Syria to cover up the military’s degradation.

Damascus, Beirut and the resistance movement itself have rejected the claims.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri has likened the arms transfer claim to the US allegations about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), which Washington used as a pretext to invade the country in 2003. The WMD claim was later found to have nothing to do with the facts on the ground.

Standing by the allegation, however, Washington and Tel Aviv have issued warning messages against Syria.

The Hezbollah official added that the United States had also woken up to a new equation in the region.

He concluded that this awareness was visible in the American officials’ contradictory remarks about Lebanon, Syria and Iran, referring to the US continued accusations of military hostility against the three.
