Enemies seek to damage IRGC

A senior Iranian military commander warns against plots hatched by the Islamic Republic’s enemies to damage the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

“The global arrogance has made the largest investment at the current juncture to inflict damage on the IRGC because the force has played a leading role in promoting the Islamic Revolution,” Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, a senior IRGC commander, was quoted by IRNA as saying on Sunday.

Those who oppose the Islamic Revolution and the ideals of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, intend to damage “the main pillars of the Islamic establishment,” he added.

The commander stressed that the IRGC forces vigorously defend the Islamic Revolution and its achievements in the face of threats.

Javani stressed that the enemies’ “objectives” in their soft war against Iran should be identified, adding that arrogant powers are providing full support for opposition movements in a bid to weaken the Islamic establishment.
