Syria in Last 24 Hours: Tens of Elite Foreign Terrorists Killed in Foiled Attempt on Army Positions in Hama

A large number of special foreign militants were killed in a foiled attempt to capture the Syrian Army’s military positions in Northern Hama, the Arabic-language media outlets reported Monday.

“The Syrian Army killed at least 40 foreign terrorists, most of them elite Chinese, Chechen and Belgian militants and also wounded tens of others as well as destroying a large number of military and armored vehicles,” the Arabic-language website of Russian Sputnik news agency quoted a military source as saying.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Arabic-language website of Russian Sputnik news agency quoted a military source as saying that the Syrian Army killed at least 40 foreign terrorists, most of them elite Chinese, Chechen and Belgian militants and also wounded tens of others as well as destroying a large number of military and armored vehicles.

The Arabic-language Moraseloun news website, meantime, pointed to terrorists’ unprecedented rocket attacks on the surrounding areas of al-Masiyaf region in Northern Hama, and said the Ankara-backed terrorists have apparently been equipped with advanced missile systems by Turkey.

Quneitra

The Syrian Army discovered large amount of weapons and ammunition, including those made in Israel and Western countries, during cleansing operations in Quneitra province.

The Syrian Army’s engineering units continued their mop-up operations in the newly-liberated towns and villages in Quneitra province, and a found large amount of weapons, artillery cannons, mines and communications systems as well as medicine, some made in Israel.

A military source also reported that the Syrian troops also found West-made machineguns, anti-tank mines, anti-tank missiles and ammunition.
