Jordan strongly rejects the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza, according to its Foreign Minister

Jordan has reaffirmed its stance against the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza, signaling its disapproval of U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposition that Arab nations should accommodate more individuals from the conflict-stricken area.**

Jordan’s position opposing any relocation of Palestinians from Gaza remains “firm and unwavering,” Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated during a press briefing on Sunday, as reported by Reuters.

Jordan’s top diplomat took to X to reiterate the nation’s backing for the Gaza ceasefire agreement, emphasizing the importance of its comprehensive enforcement and the swift delivery of humanitarian aid throughout the region.

In a recent statement, he emphasized that it is a widely recognized truth that Jordan steadfastly safeguards its interests, principles, and citizens.

On Saturday, President Trump, speaking aboard Air Force One, urged countries such as Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab nations to accept more Palestinians from the Gaza Strip in order to “clear out” the region, according to remarks made to reporters.

Former President Donald Trump announced that he engaged in a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II of Jordan earlier today. Additionally, he is scheduled to have a discussion with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Sunday.

Palestinian organizations have voiced strong opposition to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposals, asserting that any efforts to forcibly displace Palestinians will be unsuccessful.
