Iran supports Iraqi national unity government

Majlis (parliament) Speaker said on Sunday that support for Iraqi national unity government as a symbol of unity among all ethnics and tribes, including Kurds, Shia and Sunni Muslims is the sole way to contribute to the Iraqi security.
Ali Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Secretary General of Iraqi Kurdistan Patriotic Union Barham Salih.
Larijani said that Iran and Iraq have excellent, warm and brotherly relations.
Iran’s policy in Iraq is support for territorial integrity, strengthening unity among all Iraqi groups and that Iraq can solve its problems only through unity and consolidation among different groups in the country.
He reaffirmed Iran’s pivotal role in providing security and stability in the region and underlined necessity of more consultations between officials of the two countries on bilateral and regional issues.
