Khder Adnan: I was inspired by supports from Shii, Sunni nations

Khder Adnan, a hero former Palestinian captive who secured his release from the claws of Israel through a 66-day hunger strike said he was inspired in his resistance while imprisoned by the supports of the Shii and Sunni nations and sources of jurisprudence.

Adnan told Qudsna that the world reacted to the gunwhipping of a Danish activist by an Israeli soldier while Palestinian captives were enduring the sort of treatment on a daily basis with the world in dark about their tragic situation.

The former captive said if possible, Zionists would arrest and imprison any freemen worldwide as they are not willing to see truth coming to light and the world supporting the Palestinian nation.

The captive then recounted his ordeal inside Israeli jails at the hand of the Israeli forces, saying that he was beaten and put into dirty cells for no charges. “Zionists claim Israel is cradle of democracy in the Middle East however it is actually a cradle of chastisement,” Adnan said, adding that he was arrested in the dark and released in the dark an few ones could watch their atrocities first hand.

He thanked all Arab and Islamic countries for their supports and singled out Iran as a source of inspiration.

Asked about a fitwa by An Arab mufti that claimed his hunger strike was religiously forbidden, he said hunger strike for a Palestinian captive that lacks any means of resistance was legitimate.

The Islamic Jihad member wrapped his remarks by calling resistance as the sole way to liberate Palestine, adding that all Palestinians should get united for the liberation of al-Aqsa mosque, Beit ul-Moqaddas and the Palestinian captives.
