According to IRIB, addressing the 14th International Trade Fair of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), he said in Tehran on Monday that the world’s advanced countries showed laxity to help the less advanced nations, thus the Islamic states should not hesitate to come up with due help in this regard.
Nematzadeh urged the Islamic states with better economic status to help OIC’s other member states in terms of foreign investments in resources, mines, and tourism, which in part would lead to the latters’ economic and trade progress.
He noted that the Islamic Republic as an active member of OIC has always paid heed for expansion of relations with Muslim countries and taken part in most of the international fairs in these countries.
The Iranian minister further said that Iran as a member of D8 hereby invites all Islamic countries to join the group, for the sake of materialization of OIC’s objectives.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh considered the unilaterally imposed sanctions as oppressive and against the UN charter and said these sanctions have already inflicted billions of dollars’ worth damages to Islamic nations, calling for unanimous condemnation of such acts.
The 5-day 14th International Trade Fair of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is underway in Tehran now, with the participation of 33 countries.
