Press TV has conducted an interview with Redwan Rizk, political analyst, about reports saying the Al Saud regime has relieved its spymaster, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, of his duties in spearheading the kingdom’s mission in the Syria crisis.

What follows is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: What do you make of this change? How significant is it and will it make a difference at all as far as the Saudi policy?

Rizk: No I do not think so. High doubts contain this file because the Saudis could not take the pressure from the international world, the covering, the acts of what so-called Bandar Bin Sultan. Under the table, they will be more and more brutal. They will continue, they will go ahead with their policy and Bandar was in charge of the Intelligence Chief but what about the officials, Saudi army interfering in the Syrian crisis as we know that many former officers they are acting on the ground in Syria and they are commanding and controlling the training camps in Jordan.

There are many information that the Saudis are forming some kind of an army after that they [were] defeated by the Syrians and was led and trained and organized by Bandar Bin Sultan about three months ago. Now information leaked out of Jordan proving that another army [is] being formed and trained to invade the south of Syria.

So Bandar Bin Sultan could not cover his personality and Saudi Arabia was under pressure from Washington and from the international countries saying that Bandar is too obvious in his words and he was too obvious in his acts against Syria and they have some solid information that he is the one who supports all the al-Qaeda groups especially the most hardliners of them and he was the main supplier and the main backer of those groups in Iraq, in Syria and now in Lebanon.

So as for that, Saudi Arabia is trying to shine its image in front of the nations and trying to cover up its acts on the ground against all these crimes committed by groups who are organized and backed up and getting all the supplies from. Saudi Arabia should be held responsible for just taking care or cuddling up those Takfiri groups and those hard liners, al-Qaeda groups who are committing crimes against humanity.
So now the main protector and incubator of all terrorist groups around the Arab world and around the world is Saudi Arabia itself and it is not coming from Bandar as a person. It is a policy of the kingdom, it is the policy of the family to spread Wahhabism under any possible way they can and also at the same time they want to spread this …

Press TV: Mr. Rizk, I just want to get another quick question and we have limited time. How likely are we to ever see, you talked about some of the crimes that the Saudi regime is responsible for, how likely are we to ever see some of these top leaders of Saudi Arabia actually being referred to the International Criminal Court for committing crimes against humanity?

Rizk: As you know that about a couple of weeks ago the Foreign Minister of Russia gave just a suggestion and was going to apply to the United Nations to trial or to put Saudi Arabia on the list of the nations who take care or who back up terrorism.

And that should be taken into consideration and Syria must step ahead with these suggestions and Saudi Arabia must be trialled as a kingdom, as a family because as we know no one in the family, in the Saudi kingdom can decide. It is the decision of the whole system. It is the regime who is responsible. Now there are sending … bombers into Beirut, into Baghdad and into Egypt and many other Arab countries.

So they are criminals and they should be trialed as criminals of wars and criminals against humanity and they are creating danger to the world, against Iran, against everybody.
