A significant assembly of journalists, activists, and social media influencers has gathered in Beirut to attend the funeral of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the slain leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, scheduled for 1:00 PM local time on Sunday.

In the wake of the somber assassination of Nasrallah on September 27, 2024, as a result of Israeli airstrikes deploying American-made bunker-buster bombs, social media platforms witnessed an outpouring of condolences, underscoring the substantial influence Nasrallah wielded beyond the confines of Lebanon.

In a recent offensive, Israeli fighter jets carried out strikes on six residential structures in the Dahiyeh district of southern Beirut, leading to extensive destruction in the area.

More than five months post-attack, a consistent influx of individuals is observed at Beirut’s airport and streets. Many among them are waving Hezbollah flags and brandishing images of Nasrallah, as they congregate to pay homage to their leader.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, recognized for his pivotal role in the group’s resistance against Israel during the 2006 conflict, has emerged as a potent symbol of defiance. His enduring legacy continues to be celebrated by supporters throughout the region.

In the southern region of Al-Aadaissah, also known as Odaisseh, residents are witnessing a tentative revival as they begin to return and reconstruct their homes. This follows a severe offensive by Israeli forces that targeted residential areas. Further developments on the rebuilding efforts are anticipated.

David Miller, the producer and co-host of Press TV’s program “Palestine Declassified,” marked his return to Lebanon after an absence of more than ten years, according to recent reports.

He posted several images on his X account showcasing advertisements and roadside posters honoring martyrs, notably featuring Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his close ally, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, who was assassinated by Israeli forces.

Miller also published an image of a billboard that honors Hezbollah members who have been martyred, notably Fouad Shokor, Ali Karaki, and Ibrahim Akil.
