Large rally carried out to mark Int’l Quds Day in Islamabad

Youm-ul-Quds or the International Quds Day was observed in Islamabad on Friday with religious zeal and fervor.
Like other parts of Pakistan large rally was carried out to observe International Quds Day. Thousands of people participated in the rally to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Participants of the rally were holding placards and banners inscribed with different slogans like ‘Struggle will continue till the liberation of Palestine.’
Addressing the gathering, Ulema made it clear that Al-Quds is respected not only in the context of Islam but also the whole humanity.
Allama Amin Shaheedi Deputy Secretary General Majlis-e Wahdat-e Muslimeen (MWM) said that it is the duty of Muslims around the world to observe International Quds Day.
‘As human beings it is our obligation to raise voice for the rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation,’ he said.
Allama Shahidee added that for the last six decades Israel has been slaughtering innocent people of Palestine. He said that Palestinians are a brave nation who are fighting for their rights despite Israel’s aggression.
Also speaking on the occasion, Majlis-e Wahdat-e Muslimeen leader Fakhar Abbas Alvi praised Iran’s in reviving the issue of Palestine through International Quds day.
Religious leader said that Muslims around the world should support the Palestinian cause and make some practical efforts for the liberation of Al-Quds.
Punjab province secretary general Tehreek-e Jafaria Allama Ishtiaq Waheedi also addressing the rally said that the Muslims should express solidarity with Palestinians.
He called on Israel to immediately stop violation of fundamental rights of people of Palestine.
‘Muslims should unite to strongly condemn the brutalities of Israel on Palestinians,’ he added.
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has also made comprehensive security arrangements for the occasion to ensure that people perform their religious obligations safely.
