Larijani renews Iran’s position regarding need to resolve crisis in Syria through political means

Iranian Shura Council Speaker Ali Larijani renewed Iran’s position which calls for resolving the crisis in Syria by political means.

In a joint press conference with Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek in Tehran on Sunday, Larijani stressed the role of the Iranian and Turkish parliaments in paving the way to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria and reject the phenomenon of terrorism and sedition.

He pointed out that Iran demands all the states to confront terrorism and fight takfiri thought in the region.

In previous statements, Larijani explained that the West stands behind all extremist practices in the region, considering that some countries such as America should realize that the tactical dealing with terrorism is a strategic error.
