Latest battle update from the Golan Heights region: map

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) unleashed a powerful attack in the Golan Heights region tonight, targeting Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions inside the Beit Jinn pocket.

Led by the 42nd Brigade (Ghiath Forces) of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Army fired more than 30 surface-to-surface missiles towards the last hilltops located to the east of Mughar Al-Mir.

In addition to the missile attack, the Syrian Air Force has conducted several airstrikes over the Beit Jinn pocket, scoring several direct hits on the enemy’s positions.

With the jihadist rebels nearly surrounded, the Syrian Army is now making their last preparations before storming Mughar Al-Mir.
