Leader calls for better ties with Africa

Leader of the Islamic Ummah Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has held separate meetings with two African heads of state, as the 14th summit of G15 closed in Tehran.

In meetings with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and Algerian chief executive Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Monday, Imam Ali Khamenei hailed strong relations between Tehran and the two African nations.

The Leader praised Harare for battling foreign meddling in its internal affairs.

“The meddling trait of world powers is the scourge of humanity and the only countermeasure against this is increased cooperation between independent states,” Imam Ali Khamenei added.

The Leader went on to stress that Iran was prepared to share its technological and scientific achievements with other Muslim nations.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s significant achievements and progress are the result of Western pressures and sanctions which caused Iran to realize its domestic talent, capabilities, and potential,” Imam Ali Khamenei stated.
