Syrian army soldiers repelled terrorists’ massive attacks on their positions in Homs province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on them.

The ISIL terrorists’ large-scale attacks to capture the government forces’ positions near T4 airbase were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

Meantime, the Syrian army and popular forces continued their military advances in other parts of Syria, including Damascus and Aleppo, over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in Syria’s key provinces.

Homs

The army troops repelled another tough attack of the ISIL on T4 airbase since the recapture of the city of Palmyra (Tadmur) by the terrorists, inflicting major losses on them.

Hundreds of ISIL terrorists carried out a large-scale offensive on T4 airbase from the Eastern and Southeastern directions of the airbase with a large number of suicide vehicles and tanks.

The army men and National Defense Forces managed to destroy the suicide vehicles and repelled their attack after hours of non-stop clashes, inflicting also heavy losses on the militants.

A field source said that over 55 ISIL terrorists were killed and five vehicles and three tanks were destroyed in the failed attack.

Syrian Army troops and popular forces continued to beat ISIL terrorists back from the surrounding areas of the T4 airbase in Eastern Homs, establishing a larger buffer zone around the key airbase.

A battlefield source said that the Syrian Armed Forces will likely attempt to expand control to lands near the energy fields in Eastern Homs, adding that the Syrian Army will dispatch more fresh forces to Homs battlefield in the next days.

Damascus

Syrian fighter jets bombed the venue of a secret meeting of two terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta, leaving at least 30 militants dead, including several Syrian and Saudi commanders.

The warplanes that had received intelligence about the exact venue of a meeting between the commanders of Jeish al-Islam and Faylaq al-Rahman pounded the secret gathering, killing at least 30 militants, including several notorious Syrian and Saudi commanders.

The meeting of the militant commanders was held in al-Mesraba farms to talk about ways to decrease widening differences between Jeish al-Islam and Faylaq al-Rahman.

Aleppo

Syrian Army troops urged terrorist groups to speed up their evacuation from Eastern Aleppo as engineering units are preparing to start defusing bombs and mines in the newly-liberated districts as soon as evacuation ends.

Based on the reports, while over 15,500 civilians and their families have thus far been evacuated from the Eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city, the army has called on terrorist groups to leave Aleppo along with their families as soon as possible because the engineering units are waiting for the moment to start defusing bombs and mines planted by militants in the newly-liberated districts.

Reports further added that tens of buses and a number of ambulances entered Aleppo’s Western countryside this morning carrying militants and their families.

A group of militants were transferred to the regions of Orum al-Kobra and Kafr Naha and other groups were dispatched to Idlib city.

Tens of buses are now in al-Sukri district to take the rest of militants and their families out of Aleppo.

The army soldiers deployed around the besieged neighborhoods in Eastern Aleppo are calling on the militants to leave the region faster.

Lattakia

Militants in two more regions in Lattakia province laid down arms and joined the peace agreement with the Syrian government and army, the Russian Peace Coordination Center in Syria announced on Tuesday.

“Militants in two more regions gave up fight against the army soldiers and joined nationwide reconciliation plan, the Russian center announced in a statement, adding, “The total number of cities, towns, villages and regions that have thus far joined the peace plan stands at 1,070.”

Meantime, sources said that negotiations still continue with the field commanders of terrorist groups in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama and Quneitra to persuade them to join the peace plan.

The Russian Center announced on Saturday that many more towns and regions joined Syria’s Reconciliation Plan, pushing the overall number of those towns and regions that endorsed the peace agreement to exceed 1,061.
