Abu Hamza calls for an immediate cessation of Israeli airstrikes as Gaza truce negotiations continue
Abu Hamza, spokesperson for the Saraya al-Quds Brigades, the militant branch of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, has urged a cessation of Israeli airstrikes following the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

In a recent statement directed at the families of Israeli prisoners, Abu Hamza called for an immediate cessation of intense Israeli airstrikes, urging the regime to respect the ongoing ceasefire process.
He stated that the attacks could result in the deaths of Zionist prisoners and urged families to exert pressure on the Israeli military to halt the assaults. He further mentioned that Resistance groups are in the final stages of preparing for the prisoners’ release.
The statements have emerged amid heightened tensions between Palestinian resistance groups and the ruling regime, with the situation surrounding prisoners of war becoming a particularly sensitive issue.
In a decision formalized in the early hours of Saturday, the Israeli cabinet endorsed a ceasefire agreement following an extensive six-hour deliberation. According to a succinct statement from Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office, the cabinet has sanctioned a framework facilitating the repatriation of prisoners. The implementation of this framework is scheduled to commence on Sunday.
