Bahar: The resistance will raise the Palestinian flag over the walls of J’lem

The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) has welcomed the UN General Assembly’s overwhelming vote in favor of a motion allowing the Palestinian flag to be raised outside the international body’s buildings.

In a press release on Friday, first deputy speaker of the PLC Ahmed Bahar stated that “the resistance will achieve the real Palestinian sovereignty by raising the flag of Palestine over the walls of Jerusalem after its liberation from the occupation.”

“The Palestinian people appreciate all voices advocating the freedom and independence of Palestine and its liberation from the occupation,” Bahar said.

“We welcome all steps that would support the Palestinian people’s right to restore their usurped rights and achieve their aspiration for freedom,” he added.

He urged the UN to take concrete action to curb Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people and assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian cause.
