Leader of Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Khamenei advises officials to adopt stable, scientific economic policies

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has said that Iranian officials should adopt stable and long-term economic policies through wise planning.

The Leader made the remarks during an address to thousands of people in the city of Shiravan, in the northeastern Iranian province of North Khorasan, on Monday.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei began an eight-day visit to North Khorasan Province on October 10.

In his speech, the Leader stated, “In regard to economic issues, officials should pay full attention to these three points: a scientific approach, thoughtful planning, and the consistency and continuity of policies so that, with the grace of God and thanks to the people’s vigilance, the global tyrants will fail in their economic confrontation with Iran.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said, “The creation of instability in various countries is among the hegemons’ hypocritical policies, but (our) beloved Iran enjoys exemplary political peace and stability thanks to the people’s commendable vigilance, awareness, and insight and through reliance on the people’s presence on the scene.”

“It is through this very stability and peace that the Iranian nation has succeeded in making the world envy its capabilities despite the enemy’s threats, sanctions, and malevolence,” he stated.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei also commented on the next Iranian presidential election, which is scheduled to be held on June 14, 2013, saying, “During the remaining time before the election and during the election, all officials should focus their efforts on maintaining calm and preventing the country’s political atmosphere from becoming contentious.”
