Iran’s Pezeshkian warns of an “unbelievable response” poised to follow any ‘israeli’ action against Iran
President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a stern warning, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver a "decisive and unbelievable" response to any form of aggression from Israel.

The Chief Executive delivered his comments on Wednesday during a discussion with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Kazan, a city in western Russia currently hosting a meeting of the BRICS group of nations.
Pezeshkian stated that the region does not favor an escalation of conflict and stress, expressing support for efforts that promote peace and stability. He further accused the Zionist regime of intentionally seeking to ignite tensions across the entire area.
Pezeshkian referenced the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the former chief of Hamas’s Political Bureau, as indicative of efforts to hinder Iran’s diplomatic objectives. The incident occurred in Tehran on July 31, just a day following Pezeshkian’s presidential inauguration, highlighting potential challenges faced by the Islamic Republic in its pursuit of strengthening international relations and cooperation.
He further highlighted the Islamic Republic’s Operation True Promise II, conducted in early October, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories. This operation was intended as a retaliation for the regime’s aggressive actions against the nation and other countries within the region.
According to Pezeshkian, Iran exercised a period of restraint before launching its operation, anticipating that the regime would halt its ongoing genocidal campaign against the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023.
The Iranian president stated that Iran felt compelled to respond as the ongoing acts of violence by the Israeli regime in Gaza, along with the escalation of hostilities into Lebanon, could not be ignored.
He argued that the backing of Western nations was pivotal in enabling the regime to persist with its atrocities, calling on these countries to take decisive measures to exert control over the regime.
An Ethiopian official expressed apprehension regarding the unfolding events in the West Asia region, emphasizing that his nation is closely monitoring the situation.
He described the prevailing international and regional frameworks as “unequal,” highlighting the effectiveness of institutions such as BRICS in addressing and mitigating these disparities.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has lauded Iran as a “strong and independent” nation, emphasizing that it is well-regarded within Ethiopia. He noted that the Ethiopian populace holds a favorable view of Addis Ababa’s diplomatic relations with Tehran.
