Lebanese Hezbollah slams US aggression on Syria

The US together with its allies the UK and France targeted the Syrian capital city of Damascus early Saturday.

The US attack on a military base in Homs, western Syria injured 3 civilians, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) earlier reported.

“The vicious attack on Syria is a blatant violation of the Syrian sovereignty and its people’s dignity, the Lebanese media Al Manar quoted Hezbollah as saying”

The attack is “a clear completion of the latest Zionist aggression on Syria,” the statement reads.

“It represents direct and forthright support to terrorist and criminal gangs which have been for years sponsored and funded.”

“The justifications of the aggression were unfounded and illogical; it was based on a “failed farce,” Hezbollah said referring to allegations as regard chemical attack in Douma, Syria.

The media affiliated with the terrorists had claimed that the Syrian jet fighters conducted a chemical attack on Douma last Saturday killing 75 people and injuring scores of others.

This is while Syria had earlier warned against terrorists’ attempts to orchestrate chemical attack scenario in Eastern Ghouta.
