Long Convoy of Terrorists’ Vehicles Destroyed in Syrian Fire in Northern Homs

The Syrian Army’s artillery units opened heavy fire at the movements of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northern Homs, destroying a long convoy of the terrorist group’s military vehicles.

The artillery units targeted the Al-Nusra’s military column along a road connecting the towns of Deir Foul and al-Ameriyeh, inflicting major losses on the convoy.

In the meantime, the army men stormed ISIL’s defense lines in Eastern Homs and managed to impose control over several hills.

The army has now deployed forces in areas surrounding the al-Sukhnah gas well 2km to the West of the town of al-Sukhnah.

A field commander on Thursday pointed to the control of the Syrian troops on the most important regions in the areas surrounding the town of al-Sukhnah and purging the city of terrorists, and said that the Syrian army started its military operation against the ISIL in al-Sukhnah.

The commander also reiterated that ISIL’s defense lines collapsed, and added that ISIL leaders transferred their families from al-Sukhnah to the town of al-Mayadeen in Deir Ezzur province on Wednesday.

Meantime, the Syrian army’s artillery and missile units as well as the country’s air force heavily pounded ISIL’s positions in the city.
