Tehran-Caracas ties, excellent

Venezuelan ambassador to South Africa described his country’s ties with Iran as excellent and growing.

Antonio Montilla told IRNA that Tehran and Caracas enjoy amicable relations.
Montilla further congratulated the Iranian nation and government on the 34th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
As to Iran’s post-revolution era, he said the US exerted various pressures on the Islamic Republic of Iran which gained independency in 1979.
He added, the US has always had hostile and unfriendly approach towards independent, freedom-seeking and democratic states all over the world.
The Venezuelan envoy further said Iran plays influential role in global and regional developments.
