Majlis Speaker lauds Hizbullah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad for their spirit of resistance

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday that Hizbullah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad are the most influential powers in the region thanks to their high morale and resistance spirit.

Larijani made the remarks in an international conference themed “Gaza, Symbol of Resistance” in Tehran on Thursday.

The Palestinian nation with its glorious records of resistance and pursuing their legitimate rights plays a significant role among world nations, he said.

The Palestinian people have experienced various historical eras particularly since the establishment of the illegitimate Zionist regime, he said.

Before the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the country was under rein of a despotic regime and could not play any role to this end but the country’s clerics collected financial aids for Palestinians through clandestine channels, he said.

After triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, late Imam Khomeini changed the scenario to the benefit of the Palestinian nation and said the tumor of Zionism should be eradicated, Larijani said.

After decades of failures and experiencing reconciliation plans masterminded by Arab states, the resistance movement has once again survived and got back to the scene of conflict with the Zionists, he said.
