Massive convoy of buses leave southwest Syria for Idlib

A large batch of rebels and their family members departed for the Idlib Governorate, yesterday, after fighting for years in southwest Syria.

According to the state-owned Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), hundreds of rebels and their family members left the Al-Quneitra Governorate on 46 buses provided by the government last night.

The SANA report added that the rebels and their family members left the Al-Quneitra Governorate via the Jaba corridor near the former  militant stronghold of Umm Batna.

This latest batch of rebels and their family members are part of the third large convoy to leave southwest Syria for Idlib in the 72 hours.

Many of these rebels that left the Al-Quneitra Governorate last night were members of the jihadist group “Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham”.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was active in the Al-Quneitra Governorate for years before they finally accepted terms of surrender.
