Minister: Iran to enter new era of development of oil, gas industries

Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said on Wednesday that Iran will enter the new era of development of the oil and gas industries.

Zanganeh made the remarks in a meeting with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.

Iran will enter the new era of development of the oil and gas industries after lifting the tyrannical anti-Iran sanctions.

He said Iran is interested in expansion of relations with Russia.
‘Iran and Russia possessing huge oil and gas resources are major exporter of oil and gas, so that the two countries would expand cooperation on energy,’ he added.

He noted that talks between the two countries have always been helpful and effective and ‘we hope the talks on oil cooperation will be effective.’

The Russian Energy Minister said for his part that commercial and economic cooperation between Iran and Russia will expand.

He hoped that holding regular consultations will be helpful for expansion of Iran-Russia relations.
