More NATO trucks attacked in Pakistan

Militants in Pakistan have set fire to at least four NATO trucks carrying supplies to the US-led forces in neighboring Afghanistan.

Two of the trucks were torched by gunmen in the southwestern province of Balochistan.

More vehicles were burned down near the capital, Islamabad.

The assailants managed to flee the scene, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Hundreds of vehicles carrying supplies for US-led foreign forces stationed in Afghanistan have been destroyed in the last three years.

Militants have warned they would continue attacking NATO’s supply line as long as non-UN-sanctioned US drone attacks continue inside Pakistan’s tribal areas.

Islamabad has condemned the unauthorized US airstrikes, saying such attacks violate Pakistan’s sovereignty and destabilize the country.
